Before You Play

Please sure to remember to check the Getting Started page, especially on Creating a transfer ID so you will always have your account in case something happens to the device you play MikuColle on.

Questing, Map, and Battle

Traverse through maps and battle through enemies to reach the goal at the end of the stage without having your HP be depleted. Stages are based around certain themes or songs from famous producers. During quests, there are two different portions, the quest portion and the battle portion.

Map

Players traverse the map fighting enemies to try and reach the goal marker at the end of the stage. Certain quests require you to collect Magical Notes to move on or various event items for certain ongoing events. Various gimmicks and hazards roam the map such as traps that deal damage and springs that propel you forward.

For more information, please see the Map section

Battle

Players and enemies take turns battling each other with the player's turn always starting first. You can select up to three cards of your liking to attack the enemy. You'll have five seconds upon tapping your first card to either select up to two more or hitting the SKIP button at the top-left at any moment to play any cards that you've set. Players must time playing cards with the spinning icons to their liking. Playing cards when the icon is closer to the top will grant an increase in damage dealt and more Skill Points while playing cards when the icon is closer to the bottom will deal less damage and reward less Skill Points. After the turn ends, the cards you just set will be put under cool down and can't be played again until a certain number of turns have passed.

Maxing out skill points allows you to activate the card's skill the next time you play it. Activating three skills allows you to initiate Skill Combo, which'll re-activate the skills of the three cards played at half the effectiveness of the original effect.

Magical skills from magical items (noted down below) can also be used during your turn in battles, but only a set number of times per quest. These can help give you a leg up during battles, so make sure to use them wisely!

Enemies will attack after you've complete your turn. Certain enemies won't attack unless a certain number of turns pass. Enemies that are ready to attack will be denoted by a red vein at the top-right corner and they'll attack cards that you've played on your turn at random. A gray/yellow arrow below an enemy denotes that the enemy has a skill and once all the gray arrows turn yellow, then the enemy will activate their skill.

Your deck has a shared HP pool based on the HP of all your cards and once that depletes, it's game over.

Cards

Use cards obtained from gacha and certain events to power up your deck. Cards have three basic stats, Singing Power (歌唱力), Defense (防御力), and HP. Singing Power is the damage dealing stat. The more the card has, the higher the damage it'll deal. Defense reduces the amount of damage dealt to you when an enemy attacks. HP are the health points of the card. The HP of the deck is the total HP of all the cards in that deck.

Cards are also sorted by character and unit cards. Character cards are cards that feature only a specific character in that card. These are often given stat boosts with certain quests that features that character. Unit cards, however, features two or more characters. Commonly, these are not subject to area bonuses in quests.

Power up and limit break cards to make them even stronger in battles. Different cards have different skills, so trying out different cards can help clear certain quests that are giving you trouble. For more information, please see the Cards section

Costumes

Wearing costumes will provide passive buffs during quests. Effects can range from increasing the stats of certain type of cards to even giving you more GP during quests. Magical Items will provide you skills that you can use during battles, but with limited amounts of uses during each quest. You can rank up both costumes and magical items to further increase the effects that they have from the materials that you find during various quests. Wearing different costumes and magical items may make it easier to clear difficult quests, so experiment to see what suits you best.

MikuCoins and Gacha

New cards can be obtained through the gacha system. There are three currencies used

  • Cheer Points - Obtained through login bonuses, selecting friends, certain mission rewards.
  • Event gacha tickets - Obtained through certain events and event missions
  • MikuCoins - Obtained through login bonuses, certain missions, quests, in-app purchase, and more.

Cheer Point gacha is the more common gacha that gives out weaker cards (commonly N/N+, but up to SSR rarity). Event gacha tickets can net you material cards or at a chance of obtaining limited event cards. Stronger cards are commonly found through gachas that require the use of MikuCoins. Gacha banners tend to cycle out so it's up to the player to pick and choose if they wish to attempt to draw in a specific banner to try their luck for certain cards.
